Why was the Association formed?
The Greek Neighborhood Association was formed to give Greek housing corporations a unified voice with the City of Stillwater and Oklahoma State University. Great relationships do currently exist between our members and the City and University. We believe through one organization, we could better address issues that effect out entire membership in a systematic and efficient way through improving our neighborhood.
What is the Association trying to accomplish?
We want to improve “Greek Row” through a neighborhood approach. We want to improve the safety of our neighborhood and we want to improve the streetscape that surrounds us.
Does the Association only concern itself with Greek students?
While the Greek letter organizations are the centerpiece on which the Association was formed, we work on behalf of all residents, student and non-student, Greek and non-Greek, which live within our boundaries.
Who is the Association affiliated with?
The Greek Neighborhood Association is not affiliated with Stillwater or Oklahoma State University. Rather, it is a separate, legal entity that conducts business for and by itself. The Association is Incorporated under Oklahoma law.
If I make a donation, is it tax deductible?
Currently, donations to the GNA are not tax deductible. We are working to obtain 501(c)(3) status through the IRS. We will update this site when that happens.
I live in the neighborhood and want to contribute. How do I?
Currently, paid membership to the Association only includes the recognized Greek letter fraternities and sororities at Oklahoma State. We do encourage our non-Greek neighbors to participate and provide input through the planning process for individual projects.
I have a suggestion or a request, where do I go?

The XYZ house is has trash all over it; can you get it cleaned up?
The fraternities and sororities at Oklahoma State are separate entities each controlled by their own housing corporation or alumni association. While the Association is working on behalf of all fraternities and sororities, we do not have control of individual members actions and do not currently have neighborhood codes or zoning requirements. We are happy to pass on your concerns and encourage our members to address them, making our neighborhood and community a better place to live. You can submit those concerns via the Suggestion Box

What is a housing corporation?
Housing corporations are the legal entities that own the fraternity and sorority houses at Oklahoma State. This may be an alumni association or another group that have the mortgage on the property. They are the ones that are generally responsible for the house year after year much in the same way as a landlord.
